If a girl recently said yes to a date then you might be wondering whether or not it means that she likes you and what else it could mean.

So, what does it mean when a girl says yes to a date? It would likely mean that she is attracted to you especially if she shows other signs of attraction around you. She could also consider you a friend if she also does similar things with her other friends.

There are actually a number of reasons why a girl might say yes to a date and there are a number of things that you can consider.

Why a girl would say yes to a date

Each of the different reasons why a girl will say yes to a date will likely come with a number of clues in the way that she does it and the body language that she shows.

Below, I will mention a number of reasons why a girl will say yes to a date, the signs to look for and the things to consider.

She is attracted to you

The reason that she said yes it likely to be that she is attracted to you.

This would be even more likely if she only said yes to you, she seemed enthusiastic when she said yes and if she shows different body language around you compared to when she is with her other friends.

If she did say yes because she likes you then it would be likely that she would show other signs of liking you when she is around you such as:

• Brushing her hair to the side when she sees you
• Stroking her hair while talking to you
• Touching you a lot
• Standing closer to you than she does with other people
• Holding prolonged eye contact with you
• Adjusting her appearance when she sees you
• Asking you the most questions
• Laughing and looking to see if you are also laughing
• Laughing a lot at the things that you say
• Pointing her feet at you (people point their feet at people that they are attracted to)
• Having dilated pupils when looking at you

The reason that she said yes could be that she considers you a friend and she doesn’t consider it a date.

This would be more likely if you asked in a way that doesn’t make it clear that it is a date, if you tend to hang out with her a lot and if she shows similar body language around you as she does with her other friends.

If she has been your friend for a while then it could still be the case that she said yes because she is attracted to you. If she did then it would be likely that she would show signs of being attracted to you when around you that she doesn’t with her other friends.

She wants something from you

It might be the case that she said yes because she wanted something from you such as for you to pay for something.

This is not very common but it would be more likely if she only seems to show interest in you when she wants something from you.

She didn’t want to reject you

It might be the case that she said yes because she didn’t want to reject you.

If this is the reason then it would be likely that she would have seemed hesitant to say yes, she wouldn’t show signs of attraction around you and she might say that she changed her mind before the date itself.

If it is the case that she didn’t want to reject you then she might also show signs of disinterest when she is around you such as:

• Squinting
• Smiling only at the mouth
• Avoiding eye contact with you
• Standing further away from you than she does with her other friends
• Pointing her feet away from you

Consider how she reacts to seeing you

When trying to figure out why she said yes it would help to consider the way that she reacts to seeing you.

If she reacts to seeing you by changing her body language noticeably then it would make it more likely that she has good or bad feelings about you.

If she reacts to seeing you by doing things such as:

• Raising her eyebrows and smiling
• Brushing her hair to the side
• Seeking eye contact
• Adjusting her appearance
• Moving closer to you

Then it would make it more likely that she is attracted to you and that she said yes for that reason.

Whereas, if she reacts to seeing you by doing things such as:

• Squinting
• Avoiding eye contact
• Facing away from you
• Smiling only at the mouth

Then it would make it more likely that she isn’t actually interested in you but she said yes because she didn’t want to reject you.

Consider how she interacts with you compare to her friends

It would also help to compare the way that she interacts with you with how she interacts with her other friends.

If she shows the same body language around you as she does with her other friends then it would make it more likely that she said yes because she considers you a friend.

If she shows different body language around you then it would make it more likely that she has good or bad feelings about you depending on the way that she changes it.

Consider multiple body language signs

When considering what her body language could be suggesting it would help to consider multiple signs at the same time.

This is because a single body language sign can have multiple different meanings. This makes body language signs unreliable on their own.

Whereas, if she shows multiple body language signs that all suggest the same thing then it would make it more likely that she is showing them for that reason.
