If a certain guy always looks at you then you might be wondering why and what it means about the way that he feels about you.
This post will show you a number of reasons why he might always look at you and why other guys might do the same in the future.
So, what does it mean when a guy always looks at you? It will often mean that he is attracted to you especially if he only seems to do it to you and he shows other signs of attraction around you. He might also think you’re looking at him, do it naturally or he might find you interesting in some other way.
There are actually a number of reasons why a guy might always look at you and there are a number of things that you can consider when trying to figure out the exact reason.
Why a guy might always look at you
Each of the different reasons why he always looks at you will likely come with a number of clues in the way that he does it and the body language that he shows around you.
Below, I will mention a number of reasons why a guy might always look at you, the signs to look for and the things to consider.
He is attracted to you
The reason that he always looks at you could be that he is attracted to you.
This would be more likely if you’re the only one that he seems to look at, you don’t tend to look at him a lot yourself, he smiles or quickly looks away when you notice and if he seems to show different body language around you than when he is with other people.
If he is attracted to you then it would be likely that he would show signs of being attracted to you, when he is around you, by doing things such as:
- Holding prolonged eye contact with you
- Keeping his focus on you when multiple people are talking
- Pointing his feet at you (people often point their feet at people that they are attracted to)
- Adjusting his appearance when he sees you
- Asking you the most questions when in a group with you
- Touching you a lot
- Talking to you with a deeper voice than he does with other people
- Standing closer to you than he does with other people
- Watching you and getting anxious when you are around other men
- Getting defensive when other men are with you both
- Having dilated pupils when looking at you (people’s pupils will often become more dilated when looking at someone that they are attracted to)
There are more signs of attraction that a guy might show around you and I have written about more of them in this blog post.
He thinks that you are looking at him
The reason that he always looks at you might be that he thinks that you are looking at him yourself.
This would be more likely if he has noticed you looking at him in the past and if he only seems to do it with you.
If he does do it because he thinks that you are looking at him then he might show signs of being slightly anxious by doing things such as:
- Fidgeting
- Rubbing his face, arms, neck or legs a lot
- Getting a dry mouth a lot
- Tapping his fingers and feet a lot
If he does think that you are looking at him then he might also be attracted to you. If he is then he would likely show signs of being attracted to you when he is around you.
He does it naturally
Some people have a habit of looking at other people a lot and this could be why he always seems to look at you.
This would be more likely if he also seems to look at other people a lot as well, if he doesn’t change his body language and behavior upon seeing you and if he seems to show the same body language around other people as he does around you.
He finds you interesting
It could be the case that he finds something about you interesting. It could be that he thinks that you have an interesting personality or he might think you have an interesting look about you.
This would be more likely if he only seems to look at you a lot, he doesn’t show many signs of attraction around you and if he only seems to look at you at certain moments such as when you are about to say something.
Consider how he reacts when he sees you
When trying to understand why he always looks at you and how he feels about you it would help to consider how he reacts upon first seeing you.
If he reacts to seeing you by changing his body language and behavior, in a noticeable way, then it would make it more likely that he has particularly good or bad feelings about you.
If he reacts to seeing you by doing things such as:
- Adjusting his appearance
- Adjusting his posture
- Facing towards you (especially with his feet)
- Moving closer to you
- Having more dilated pupils
Then it would make it more likely that he is attracted to you.
Whereas, if he reacts to seeing you by doing things such as:
- Squinting
- Facing away from you
- Smiling with a closed mouth
- Tightening his lips
- Distancing himself
Then it would make it more likely that he is annoyed with you in some way.
Consider how he interacts with other people
It would also help to compare the way that he interacts with you with how he interacts with other people.
If he shows the same body language around you as he does around other people and he also looks at other people a lot then it would make it more likely that he does it naturally.
Whereas, if he only seems to look at you a lot and he shows different body language around you then it would make it more likely that he either is attracted to you, thinks you look at him or he thinks you have an interesting personality. It would help to consider how his body language is different around you.
Look for a number of body language clues
When considering what his body language could be showing it would help to consider multiple signs at the same time.
This is because a single body language sign can have many different possible meanings making them unreliable on their own.
Whereas, if he shows a number of body language signs that all suggest the same thing then it would make it more likely that he is showing them for that specific reason.
If you want to learn more about body language, a book I would recommend would be The Definitive Book of Body Language (on Amazon). It shows you how to interpret body language and understand people's true intentions.
