1. He points his feet at you
The lower body will actually tell you a lot about the way that a guy feels about you. In particular, the feet will be especially helpful to observe.
This is because people learn ways to control the emotions that they are showing with their faces but they rarely think about what they are doing with their feet.
It is the case that guys will point their feet in the direction that they are most interested in. If a guy is attracted to a woman he will often point his feet in her direction.
This means that, if you notice that a guy is facing a different direction but he is pointing his feet at you or that he tends to point his feet at you when he is around you, then it would be a sign that he is interested in you.
When you’re trying to figure out whether or not a guy, you don’t know, is attracted to you the direction that he is pointing his feet are one of the first things that you should look at.
2. His pupils become dilated
Another sign of attraction that you might not have thought to look for is whether or not his eyes are dilated.
It has been shown, in studies, that people’s eyes will become more dilated when they are looking at arousing images.
This means that, if you notice that the guy tends to have dilated pupils when he is around you then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you.
With that being said, observing whether or not his pupils are more dilated than they normally would be can be difficult. However, if you notice that his eyes become dilated when you make eye contact with him then it would be a particularly strong sign that he is attracted to you.
3. His voice changes
When a man is speaking to a woman that he finds attractive he will often speak with a lower voice. The reason for this is that it will highlight his masculinity in hopes of making the woman find him more attractive.
However, studies have also found that men will speak with a higher-pitched voice when speaking to a woman that they find attractive.
This means that, when a man is with a woman that he finds attractive, he will vary his vocal pitch between low and high.
This could be because speaking at a lower pitch could be perceived as being dominating and so by also speaking at a higher pitch shows that he is not a threat.
So, if you notice that a guy tends to talk to you with a deeper pitch and that he, sometimes, says things at a higher pitch to you then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you.
4. He touches you more than other people
If a guy is attracted to you then he would likely, subconsciously or consciously, touch you more than he does with other people.
If you notice that a guy tends to touch you more than he touches other people then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you.
Additionally, if he is attracted to you, he might look for excuses to touch you. Examples of this could include hugging you goodbye when he normally wouldn’t hug other girls goodbye or touching you when teasing you.

7. He laughs and looks to see whether or not you are also laughing
Studies have found that both sexes will look at the person that they are most interested in when they are laughing.
This is likely to be because they don’t want to show that they are not interested in the same things that the person that they like is.
If you notice that a guy tends to look at you when you’re in a group together and he is laughing then it would be a strong sign that he is interested in you.
It has also been shown that both sexes will initiate humor when they are with a person that they are attracted to. This means that if you notice that a guy tends to tell more jokes when he is around you then it would be another strong sign that he is attracted to you.
8. He becomes anxious when you are around other guys
If a guy is attracted to you then it would be likely that he would show signs of being anxious when you are around other guys. This is likely to be because he would be worried that you will like the other guy and that you will lose interest in him.

10. He mirrors your own body language
People will tend to mirror the person that they are most interested in. This is because it will help to get a better response from that person and because it makes it appear like they are both from the same group on a subconscious level.
If you notice that a guy tends to mirror your own body language then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you.
Examples of how he might mirror your own body language could include:
- Touching you back when you touch him
- Talking at a similar pitch and speed as you
- Mirroring your facial gestures
- Mirroring your hand gestures
- Standing or sitting with the same stance as you
- Leaning forward when you do
In addition to this, it has also been shown that mimicking the body language of other people can actually get a better response from them.
One study had one group of women mimic the verbal and nonverbal behaviors of men when speed dating and the other group of women didn’t mimic them. It was found that the women that mimicked the men’s body language got a better response that the women that didn’t.
So, if you want a guy to like you more then mimicking his verbal and non-verbal body language could help to get him to like you more.
11. He positions himself to be nearer to you
If a guy is attracted to you then he will likely want to be around you more.
If you notice that he, gradually, positions himself to be nearer to you or he positions himself where he can see you then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you. This would be more likely if he also chooses to sit or stand somewhere where he normally wouldn’t when he notices that you are around.
12. He repeats what you say
People will begin to, subconsciously, mimic the actions of people that they are attracted to.
If you notice that he tends to repeat things that you say or that he begins to say the same things that you do then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you.
However, it could be the case that he is mimicking you because he is actually trying to fit in with the group of people that you tend to hang out with. This would be more likely if he also mimics the things that other people in the group say.
13. He teases you a lot
Guys will often tease girls when they are attracted to them. If a guy teases you more than he teases other people then it could actually be a sign that he is attracted to you.
However, it could also be the case that he does it because he is just being mean. It would help to consider the other body language signs that he shows when he teases you. If he also points his feet at you, adjusts his appearance when he sees you, looks at you when laughing or if he also does other things on this list then it would be much more likely that he teases you due to being attracted to you.
14. He faces towards you with his upper body
The direction that a guy faces with his upper body can also give you some information about who or what he is interested in.
If he tends to face you with his upper body then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you.
With that being said, if he doesn’t face you with his upper body then it doesn’t necessarily mean that he is not attracted to you.
Some guys will actually face away from a girl on purpose to make it look as if he is not interested in her to get her to think about him more.
Also if he faces away from you with his upper body but he points his feet toward you and his legs are leaning toward you then it would be a positive sign.
15. He tilts his head and shows his neck when talking to you
Exposing the vulnerable areas of the body is generally a positive sign since it shows that he is comfortable around you.
If a guy tilts his head and smiles when he sees you then it would be a sign that he likes you.
16. He gets uncomfortable if you talk about other guys
If a guy likes a girl then he will often get uncomfortable if she talks about other guys around him. This is because it will worry him that she is not interested in him and that she is interested in someone else.
Signs of being uncomfortable when you talk about other guys could include:

17. He points his feet upwards around you
Generally, body language signs that go against gravity are positive signs.
If you notice that a guy points his feet upward when he is around you then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you. This would be especially likely if he does it immediately upon seeing you.
18. He asks your friends about you or he tells his friends about you
If a guy is interested in you then he will likely want to know things such as whether or not you will be at a certain event, whether or not you are interested in him or whether or not you are single.
If a guy asks your friends about you then it would be a strong sign that he is interested in you.
This would be especially likely if he asks them things such as whether or not you are single, if you’re going to be at a party or whether or not you have told them about him.
Additionally, if he tells his own friends about you then it would also be a sign that he is interested in you and that he is attracted to you.
19. He holds prolonged eye contact with you
When people are developing feelings for each other they will begin to do something known as “mutual gazing” which is where they hold prolonged eye contact with each other and the love hormone Oxytocin is released.
If you notice that he tends to hold prolonged eye contact with you and that he holds eye contact with you longer than he does with other people then it would be a strong sign that he is attracted to you. This would especially be the case if his pupils also become dilated when holding eye contact with you.
20. He keeps his focus on you when around you
People will tend to keep their attention on the person that they are most interested in.
If you notice that he tends to keep his focus on you when other people are talking or when you are talking and other people are talking as well then it would be a sign that he likes you. This would be especially likely if he also asks you the most questions, positions himself to be nearer you, points his feet at you or if he shows the other signs on this list.
21. He asks you the most questions when you’re with other people
Another way that he might show that he is particularly interested in you is by asking you the most questions.
If he asks you more questions than he does to other people in the group then it would be a sign that he likes you and that he is trying to build rapport with you.
22. He glances at you a lot
Guys will often glance at a girl that they are interested in a lot. If you notice that a guy glances at you a lot then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you.
This would be especially likely if he also quickly looks away or smiles when you notice him, positions himself to be nearer to you and if he also points his feet towards you.
If he is a guy that you have not spoken to before then this would be a sign to look for.

As mentioned earlier, body language signs that go against gravity will generally be positive signs.
If he raises his eyebrows, when he sees you, then it would be a sign that he likes you.
However, he might raise his eyebrows, when he sees you, because he considers you a friend and he is just glad to see you. This would be less likely if he shows other signs on this list such as holding prolonged eye contact, touching you the most and if he gets anxious when you’re around other guys.
25. A change in how quickly he talks
When a guy is around a girl that he likes it will often cause him to change the speed that he talks at.
If the girl causes him to get nervous then he would likely talk faster, than usual, when he is talking to her. This would be especially likely if he also talks at a higher pitch.
On the other hand, it will often be the case that men will purposely try to talk in a more attractive way by talking more slowly and with a deeper voice.
So, if you notice that he changes the speed and the pitch that he talks at when he is talking to you and when he notices you then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you.
26. He becomes defensive around you
When most guys are around a woman that they are attracted to they will not like it when they are made to look bad.
If you notice that a guy tends to become very defensive around you then it would be a sign that he likes you.
He could get defensive around you by doing things such as:
- Getting very annoyed when someone says a joke, at his expense, in front of you
- He tries to make himself seem more appealing when you talk about other guys or when other guys are talking to you
- He tries to make the other guy seem less attractive in some way when another guy is talking to you or when you mention another guy.
27. He tries to make himself seem more dominant when he is around you
Sometimes, when guys are around women that they like they will try to make themselves seem more dominant and/or high-status.
There are many ways that a guy might try to seem more high-status or dominant but some examples could include:
- Talking over people
- Spreading his arms out when sitting down
- Positioning himself to be at the center of things
- Talking loudly
- Talking with a deeper voice
- Taking up lots of space
- Putting his hands and feet on things that aren’t his
If you notice that a guy begins to do things such as those mentioned above, when he notices you, then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you. However, it could be the case that he does it naturally which is why it would help to consider whether or not he starts to do it when he notices you and if he shows other signs of attraction.
28. He shows signs of being nervous around you
Many guys will get nervous when they are around or when they are talking to a girl that they like.
If you notice that a guy tends to get nervous when he is talking to you then it would be a sign that he likes you.
Examples of how he might show signs of being nervous could include:
- Rubbing the face, arms, neck or legs.
- Having a dry mouth or coughing
- Fidgeting

If a guy likes you then he will likely want to look good in front of you. One way that he might try to look good in front of you might be to show off.
Ways that he might try to show off in front of you could include trying to do more skillful things when playing a game, doing dangerous things or by trying to show off certain skills that he has such as speaking a different language.
31. He compliments you a lot
Sometimes guys will show their interest in a woman by complimenting her a lot. If you notice that a guy tends to compliment you a lot then it would be a sign that he likes you especially if he only does it with you or he compliments you more than other people.
On the other hand, as mentioned earlier, some guys will do the opposite where they will tease you more than other people. They will usually do it to make your interactions with them more interesting. However, some guys will actually do it on purpose to get you to think about him more and to feel like he is not interested in you when he really is.
32. He watches you when you leave
If a guy is attracted to you then it is likely that he will want to be around you more. It will also be likely that he will get disappointed when you are not around.
If you notice that a guy tends to watch you when you leave then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you. This would be especially likely if he shows signs of getting anxious when you leave and if he shows other signs of attraction when you are around him.
33. He calls you special names
Guys will often call girls, that they are attracted to, special names. This will normally be because they want to get the girl to think about them more, to get her to enjoy his company more and to make their interactions with her more interesting.
If a guy tends to call you special names and he doesn’t do it with other people then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you. This would be especially likely if it is a more positive nickname.
However, it could also be the case that he might give you a nickname that isn’t so nice even if he is attracted to you. He might do so because he wants to get you to think about him more or to become more interested in him because it seems like he isn’t interested in you. This would be more likely if he only does it to you, if he also tends to tease you a lot and if he shows other signs of attraction on this list.
34. He starts hanging out at the same places that you do
If a guy likes you then he might start hanging out, where you do, more often. This is because he will want to see you more and because he’ll likely want to improve his chances of starting dating you.
Also If you notice that he sticks around for longer when you’re with him or he starts to go to the same places as you at the same time that you normally go then it would also be a sign that he is attracted to you.
35. He changes his behavior when you are around
When a guy is around a woman that he is attracted to he will often change the way that he behaves.
This means that if he starts to change his behavior in a way that is different to what it normally is and he changes it in a way that suggests attraction then it would be a very strong sign that he is attracted to you.
For example, if he is normally quiet and he talks a lot more when you are around then it would suggest that he is attracted to you. On the flipside, if he normally talks a lot but he becomes quiet when you are around then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you but nervous especially if he also shows signs of being nervous.
36. He leans in toward you
People will often lean in towards people that they are interested in. If you notice that a guy tends to lean in towards you, when talking to you or when sitting with you then it would be a sign that he likes you. This would be especially likely if he also stands closer to you than he does with other people and if he leans in closer to you when you lean in towards him.
37. He avoids talking to you
A guy avoiding talking to you can actually be a sign that he is attracted to you. This is because it implies that he is nervous around you and he doesn’t want to make himself look bad in front of you. This would be more likely if he shows other signs of being nervous around you and if nothing recently happened that might want to make him avoid you.
Sometimes, guys will also purposely avoid talking to a girl that they are interested in to make the girl think about him more and to become more interested in him. This would be more likely if he also does things such as tease you, if he shows other signs of attraction around you and if he does talk to the people around you.
38. He touches your feet with his feet
As mentioned earlier, the feet will tell you a lot about a person’s feelings.
One way to tell whether or not a guy likes you is if he touches your feet with his feet when sitting. If he does, then it would be a strong sign that he likes you especially if he does it more than once and if he touches your feet with more of a rubbing motion.
39. He shows genuine smiles around you
The way that a person smiles can tell you a lot about how a person feels about you.
If a guy shows genuine smiles to you where he squints besides the eyes and he opens the mouth then it would suggest that he either likes you as a friend or that he is attracted to you.
To figure out which it would help to consider whether or not he shows other signs of attraction towards you and if he tends to smile and laugh the most with you (which would be a sign that he is attracted to you).
40. He looks at your lips occasionally
If a guy looks down at your lips, occasionally, when talking to you, then it would be a sign that he wants to kiss you. If he looks at them multiple times and if he stares at them for a moment then it would make it even more likely that he is thinking of kissing you.
Additionally, it would especially be the case if he also holds prolonged eye contact with you, has dilated pupils and if he stands closer to you than he does with other people.
41. He stands or sits with his legs apart and he uncrosses them when he sees you
Men will often take a dominant stance when talking to women that they are attracted to. When a man is with a woman that he is attracted to, often, he will subconsciously stand or sit with his legs and feet apart.
If a man does this, with you, then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you. This would especially be the case if he also stands with his hands on his hips or if he adjusts himself while talking to you.
42. He shows a lack of negative body language signs
One way to get a better idea of whether or not a guy is attracted to you is to consider whether or not he shows negative body language signs around you. If he does not show many negative body language signs around you then it would make it much more likely that he is attracted to you.
Examples of negative body language could include:
- Tensing the jaw
- Crossing the arms and legs
- Squinting
- Tightening the lips
- Avoiding you
- Pointing the feet away from you
- Avoiding eye contact (unless nervous)
- Giving you short answers
- Smiling with a closed mouth and not squinting besides the eyes
43. He dresses well when he knows you will be around
Guys will often dress well when they know that they will be around a woman that they like. If you notice that a guy dresses better than usual when he knows that you will be around then it would be a sign that he likes you.
44. He becomes quiet around you
Many guys will become quieter when they are around a woman that they like. This is because they don’t want to say something that would make themselves look bad and they become slightly nervous. If you notice that a guy becomes quiet around you then it could actually be a sign that he is attracted to you.
This would be more likely if he shows other signs of attraction around you and if he also shows other signs of being nervous around you such as rubbing the face, arms, neck or legs, fidgeting or talking faster and at a higher pitch.
However, it could also be the case that he has some social anxiety so it would help to consider whether or not it is only you that he is quiet around.
45. Raising one shoulder
As mentioned above, actions that go against gravity will often be a positive sign. If you notice that a guy tends to raise one of his shoulders while talking to you then it would be a sign that he likes you. This would be even more likely if he also tilts his head and holds prolonged eye contact when doing it.
46. He hugs you the longest
Considering the way that a guy hugs you and how it compares to how he hugs other girls could help you in figuring out whether or not he likes you.
If a guy hugs you longer than he hugs other girls, he hugs you more than he hugs other girls and if he hugs you around the waist or in a different way than he hugs other girls then it would be a sign that he likes you.
47. He pulls his shoulders back and pushes his chest out
Men will often, subconsciously or consciously, adjust their posture or stance when they are around a woman that they like.
If you notice that a guy tends to pull his shoulders back and push his chest out more when he is around you then it would be a sign that he likes you. This is because it implies that he is trying to make himself look more appealing.
48. Bouncing his feet when he sees you
When people are excited they will often begin to bounce their feet up and down. If you notice that a guy begins to tap his feet up and down, as soon as he sees you, then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you. This would be even more likely if he also points his feet at you and he adjusts his posture and appearance as soon as he sees you.
With that being said, if a guy begins to tap one of his feet, while pointing them away from you, then it would suggest that he wants to leave.
49. He fidgets
Many guys will get nervous when talking to a woman that they like. One of the ways that guys will show nervousness is by fidgeting. If you notice that a guy begins to fidget, when he is around you, then it would be a sign that he is attracted to you.
There are a number of ways that he might fidget and some examples could include:
- Tapping the fingers or feet
- Playing with an object like his phone or a pen
- Biting his nails
- Playing with his fingers

If a guy is attracted to you then he will likely just want to talk to you and not other people as well. One way to talk only to you would be to talk quietly to you so that no-one else can hear what he is saying.
If you notice that a guy talks quietly to you, when you are both around other people, then it would be a sign that he likes you. This would especially be the case if he talks loudly to other people, he gives you the most attention, he asks you the most attention, he glances at you a lot, he holds prolonged eye contact or if he shows the other signs on this list.
Things to consider when trying to figure out whether or not a guy is attracted to you
When trying to figure out whether or not a guy is attracted to you there are a number of things that you should consider.
Look for multiple signs of attraction
There are, usually, many different reasons why a guy will show a single sign of attraction. For example, it could be the case that a guy might lean in toward you because he likes you but it could also be that he is trying to hear you better.
This is why it would help to look for multiple signs of attraction when trying to figure out whether or not a guy is attracted to you.
It is also why it is helpful to consider the environment that he shows the signs in. If he leans in toward you when you’re both at a loud event or when other people are talking then it would be more likely that he is trying to hear you better. But, if he can clearly hear you and he does it on multiple occasions then it would make it more likely that he does it due to being attracted to you.
Consider the body language that he shows around others
When trying to figure out whether or not a guy likes you it would help to compare his body language, when he is around you, to what it is like when he is around other people.
It could be the case that a guy will show certain body language signs, that could be considered a sign of attraction, naturally. For example, he might, naturally, hold prolonged eye contact with people when talking to them. If he holds prolonged eye contact with you then it wouldn’t be as strong of a sign of attraction as it normally would be.
Whereas, if a guy shows signs of attraction around you, that he wouldn’t normally show around other people then it would make it much more likely that he is showing them due to attraction.
Also, negative signs can become less negative if he shows them around other people a lot as well. For example, if a guy tends to avoid eye contact with people then it wouldn’t be such a negative sign if he doesn’t maintain eye contact around you.
Consider how he reacts to seeing you
It would also help to consider the way that he initially reacts to seeing you. If a guy changes his body language, noticeably, in a way that shows attraction, then it would make it much more likely that he is attracted to you.
This means that if he reacts to seeing you by doing things such as:
- Pointing his feet at you
- Sitting or standing more upright
- Pulling his shoulders back and pushing his chest out
- Moving closer to you
- Raising his eyebrows and smiling
- Adjusting his appearance
- Bouncing his feet up and down
- Changing the tone that he is speaking at
- Uncrossing his arms
Then it would make it much more likely that he likes you.
